Join me for a full weekend of sewing in September at The Chartered Institute of Marketing, School Lane, Cookham, Maidenhead, SL6 9QH. The cost is £285 per person, which includes accommodation and full board and my tuition throughout the weekend. I have not added any costs on top of that quoted to me by the venue to enable these weekends to be financially available for all so everyone can experience the fun of a weekend retreat. Details of what is included in the price and a breakdown of the weekend is below, but first the important stuff!
IMPORTANT STUFF! You are booking to reserve your space on the September Sewing Retreat. You are agreeing to pay a £50 non-refundable deposit to secure your space. The balance of £235 will be due for payment no later than 1st August 2027. I am happy for you to make this payment in two parts (£117 & £118), details will be sent once you have booked your place.
WHEN BOOKING PLEASE INCLUDE IN THE NOTES SECTION:
- ANY DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AND
- WHETHER YOU WOULD PREFER A GROUND FLOOR ROOM OR 1ST FLOOR – THERE ARE NO LIFTS AT THE VENUE.
Friday – arrival from 1pm, set up in the conference room and check into your bedroom. There will be staff available to help unload cars. First workshop will be 4pm-6pm. Two course dinner (buffet style) will be approx 6.30pm. Sew into the evening, or wander along the Thames which is just a short walk across the road.
Saturday – start sewing whenever you want. Breakfast is available from 7.30am. Second workshop will be from 9.30am-11.30am. Lunch – two course (buffet style) will be approx 1pm, more sewing, followed by two course dinner (buffet style) approx 6.30pm, followed by more sewing into the evening if the urge takes you, or a walk to shake down all the food you’ve eaten!
Sunday – another full sewing day! Breakfast from 7.30am; Checkout of accommodation by 11am. Lunch – two course (buffet style) approx 1pm; the weekend will finish at 4pm.
Tea/coffee available all day, just help yourselves and in case you haven’t eaten enough food, cookies will be served mid morning; cake in the afternoon!!
So as mentioned above, I will be offering two workshops during the weekend. One project will be a quilting technique, the other a small project that can be achieved in the weekend. Both projects are optional to join in with and there will be some prep for you to do before you arrive. Full requirement details will be provided once your space is booked. However, you are, of course, very welcome to bring your own projects to work on during the weekend.
Projects for this weekend will be Autumnal Quilt/Table Runner and a Patchwork/Embroidered Project Bag. More details provided once you have booked your space.
