Description
Are you a complete beginner to patchwork, or do you have some basic skills? If the answer is yes, then come and join me for this 8 week patchwork course where you will learn a variety of skills to set you on your patchwork journey. Over the period of the course, you will make a lap quilt, utilising skills such as rotary cutting, measuring, ironing (yes there is a wrong and right way!), reading patterns, basting, quilting and binding.
You are welcome to bring your own machine, or I can provide one for you to use. All other equipment is provided, you just need to bring some fabric – full details are provided on booking. If purchasing fabric from my shop, then a 10% discount is applied.
This is a relaxed class, with no more than 4/5 attendees which means I can give you full attention. For beginner’s, you are not expected to prepare anything at home, everything is completed in the workshop. For intermediate’s, you will be asked to prepare for your following block at home, so will need to ensure you have some time to cut fabric for the following week.
Sessions run from 6.30pm-9.30pm on a Tuesday evening. Dates for the class are as follows:
22nd September; 29th September; 13th October; 20th October; 27th October; 3rd November; 10th November; 17th November. Please note the dates are not all sequential due to quilting shows I am already committed to attend.
